Reaching out in the community by providing care packages along with food to the homeless is a heart-felt and warming experience.
I had went to lunch one day with a friend and she was explaining to me that a non-profit organization (Unite Ministries) located in Minneapolis, Minnesota is in need of funds for an outreach to the homeless. I told her, "I may can try and help the organization through my life insurance policy." I explained to her that through me on their behalf, I can apply for a grant for a one day activity for up to 2k
The grant got approved, and we were able to purchase items for the care kits for the outreach to the homeless. We packaged everything up with gloves, drove to a location in Minneapolis, MN, and not only handed out the care bags, but Unite Ministries provided food well.
Having the opportunity to participate with a non- profit 501 (c)(3) organization and the grant coming from a non-profit organization for this activity to help make a positive impact in the community is something, in my opinion, I feel should be a continuous action to help make a positive difference.
